Damn Small Linux (DSL)

DSL is 50Mb of linux magic. While most desktop distros approach or even exceed the 700Mb full CD mark, DSL underscores the extreme flexibility of linux with its minimalist approach.  While it would be difficult to describe the default DSL Live CD as "fully featured", it does manage to cram in basic, light-weight web, email, document editing and networking packages along with configuration tools, a music player and standard linux utilities.  All this comes with a clean fluxbox desktop and the simple EmelFM file manager.  DSL uses updated versions of the older 2.4.x series linux kernel to ensure compatibility with older hardware.  See the Damn Small Linux Main Page for more details.
