A final festive wrap-up.

1. Flag is currently [ _ACTIVE_ ] Upgrade e17 Negative!

Indeed! We have had our longest ever period of an _ACTIVE_ advisory for the svn code. It has now been several weeks since we have felt confident enough to give the "all clear" on updates. Members should be assured that this isn't an over-sight on our part and that the code continues to be tested on a daily basis. While we have had some brief periods of useable code, overall it hasn't been stable enough to reset our advisory. My latest useable build is 38251.

2. Themes, Themes and more Themes

Well a couple anyway. With some trepidation I released the Oz_Magpies2 theme along with a color-changing script and a How-To. Feedback has been generally positive and the Architect variously known as RAV TUX, X11 and various other pseudonyms immediately put it up as a video on OzHallsofIvy. Of course, the video was an immediate massive hit (but only because Bro. Tiag was using it it to test java installations on several different machines and sent the hit rate up). We await word from the Academy.

Meanwhile, Bro. Tiag has modified his "Back_garden" wallpaper to take advantage of color_classes.

3. Edgar and Friends

For those wishing to extend their e17 experience with a little experiemental module majick, smartboyat home posted this How-To on the forums about "Edgar and friends". I'm looking forward to trying this out over the holiday break.

4. New Members

A big welcome to all the new CafeLinux members and OzOS users who have joined in the past few weeks. I hope you will stick around for a while and join in the forum discussions. We have a new board (suggested by redohair - which is the member's name BTW, not a suggestion to correct a bad cut and color) especially for new members to introduce themselves.
